The FCC is proposing to make major changes to the General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) and Family Radio Service (FRS) Rules.  A full 92-page FCC release of the proposal is available at this site.  A much shorter discussion of the issues is also available from the Personal Radio Steering Group (PRSG), an organization that promotes GMRS and FRS use, at this site.  If you use either service (as many hams do), you should check into this; there is a short timeline on responses to the Notice of Inquiry.

There will be a new General Class question pool effective July 1, 2011.  If you have been studying the current question pool, you should plan to take the General test prior to July 1 to avoid being surprised, or get a copy of the new 457-question pool to study if you plan to take the test after that date. There will be 35 questions from the pool on your test. 
This question pool will be used until June 30, 2015.
 
The current Technician Class question pool is valid through June 30, 2014.
The current Extra Class question pool is valid through June 30, 2012.
